About Beth

Beth Longwell is not your average songwriter, due to one simple fact: she is not afraid to bare it all in her music, and still somehow leaves her listeners wanting more.

Using ear-catching melodies and thought-provoking lyrics, Beth sings in four minutes what many struggle to say in a lifetime. Her songs span a vast range of subjects and there’s not a person out there who can’t relate to some of Beth’s lyrics. Go ahead, see her live and find out for yourself.

Look deeper into Beth’s life, and you’ll find that dynamic songwriting is just one component that makes up this very musical person. Beth spends her days as a music therapist at a veteran’s hospital, bringing the healing and transformative power of music to veterans on inpatient psychiatric and hospice units. She knows how much music has changed her life; now she is using it to facilitate change in the lives of others in need. Whether through songwriting, drumming, lyric discussion, reminiscing through music, or improvising on instruments, Beth is sure to bring joy and healing wherever she goes.

Living a life that is filled with music, Beth has taken the next step in sharing her gift with the world. She has just released her debut album, Through & Through, a full-length collection of original, thought-provoking songs. The album is a musical autobiography, with songs that touch on all aspects of Beth’s life. It is proof that she is not afraid to lay her heart out on the table with intimate lyrics and refreshing honesty. Anyone who has ever overcome obstacles in their life, who has hit bottom and still managed to climb back up to the top, will hear their story in the lyrics of Beth Longwell’s songs, and will be forever changed by it.

"Through & Through has been on rotation in my office for weeks. Beth has a hell of a story to tell and she tells it beautifully in this album. Through & Through is a brilliant reminder of the diversity of the human experience. I hope you all grab a copy and listen...and that it gives you as much as it's given me."
